Overall Retrospection of Learning Experiences in the First Quarter

4

During the First Quarter, I learned a lot in our Basic Calculus class. The first thing I learned in class was Angles. I learned about the different kinds of angles ranging from angles in standard position, which are angles that are on the point of origin and has one side on the x-axis, to quadrantal angles, which are angles that have one side on the x-axis and one side on 90 degrees, 180 degrees, 270 degrees, etc., to coterminal angles, these are angles that have the same terminal side. The next thing I learned was about the Radian measure and how to convert degree to radian and vice versa. I also learned about Locating angles in radians on the Cartesian Plane and then the Trigonometric Ratios: Sine, Cosine, Tangent, Cosecant, Secant, Cotangent. Then I learned about the Unit Circle, which has a radius of 1, and the special right triangles: 30-60-90 and 45-45-90, and how to solve for their measurements. I also learned about Linear Equations in 2 Variables and how to graph linear equations. Then the last thing I learned about were the formulas for: distance formula between 2 points, the midpoint formula, the slope-intercept formula, point-slope formula, two-point formula, and finally the intercept formula. I think I did well in understanding most of the lessons, I could improve more in some lessons such as for the trigonometric ratios of the unit circle. I think that my performance in this class is good enough but I could definitely improve in certain areas.
