Reflection 6

This week I learned about the properties of normal distributions. This is represented on a number line; the mean, median, and the mode are all equal, these are all located on the line of symmetry. The normal curve is a bell-shaped curve and the total area of the curve is equal to 1. The greater the x value the greater the mean, the wider the curve the greater the standard deviation. The left inflection point represents μ - σ and the right inflection point represents μ + σ. The formula for the Z score is: (x-μ )/σ. When the population is normally distributed the sample mean will have a normal distribution for any sample.
